your computer isn't showing the startup screen and the USB devices aren't functioning. after removing everything and reconnecting, the issue persists. i bent one pin on the cpu and tried again, but nothing changed. it seems like either a hardware problem or just a simple connection issue. thanks for your patience.

Indicates 3000 units ready and 5000 models compatible per specifications. Probably requires BIOS upgrade.

The motherboard isn't initially compatible with the Risen 5000 series and requires a BIOS upgrade. Usually, this involves using a donor CPU that works but your board only supports Gigabyte's Q-Flash Plus. This feature lets you refresh the BIOS without installing the CPU first. Follow these steps: Create a USB flash drive containing the BIOS update file. It should be formatted as FAT32 and empty except for the update data. You'll need another computer to prepare it. Find the file named "X57IAPWI.36c" or similar, excluding "autoexec.bat", "Efiflash.exe", or "readme.txt". Rename it to "gigabyte.bin" and insert it onto your drive. Connect the USB to the port next to HDMI and the one beside the Q-Flash button. Make sure your power supply is active and all connectors are properly attached. The CPU and RAM can remain in place without damage. Press the Q-Flash button, and it will start writing the update. Wait 3-4 minutes based on drive speed—once the light stops, your BIOS is updated.

Additionally, the power source you purchased is from 15 years prior, which means it’s quite outdated. I have no idea how you managed to locate a replacement still inside the package.

You can attempt an alternative solution since you already have a drive with FATEX and lack funds for another external storage device.

You can format a flash drive using any computer, it doesn't have to come in a specific format in the box. Here's a tutorial from Sony for both Mac and PC. The motherboard will only recognize a FAT32 drive. If the only option for formatting is exFAT you may need to try a tool like GUIformat .

I've checked the setup, but no post appears at startup. It seems I might need a new CPU or motherboard.
