The PC is displaying RGB but remains inactive.
The issue isn't about the system not booting or showing any output; the power button remains inactive. I attempted to connect the pins directly, but that didn't resolve it. The paperclip test on the PSU worked, and the motherboard was returned for warranty due to another concern. The system has sufficient wattage, so this shouldn't be an issue.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Please share your system specifications when posting troubleshooting threads. Provide details such as CPU, CPU cooler, motherboard, RAM, SSD/HDD, GPU, PSU, chassis, OS, monitor, and the age of the PSU along with its make and model. The BIOS version for your motherboard is also important at this stage.
The paperclip test on the PSU was conducted, but it only confirms the unit can start up—it doesn’t reveal the actual power output capacity.
Your motherboard was just returned for warranty due to a separate concern.
Was there a shorting issue? Did you breadboard your components before testing?

Submitted the motherboard for fan spin test for a few seconds, then it stopped working
No signs of failure before vacation, which caused the issue
Yes, that's correct. You submitted the motherboard and are checking if it fixed the issue.
I own the motherboard, previously there was no RGB, only fans spinning, now RGB is present but it isn't activating.
