I chose a budget-friendly PC for my first gaming experience, aiming for simplicity and affordability. I picked a Pentium 4 because it’s inexpensive on eBay. For graphics, I went with an EVGA 1080. When I tried playing Minecraft and Roblox, the game ran very slow. What went wrong? Also, I have 2 GB of RAM.

You have a slow processor and almost no RAM, along with the most costly graphics card available. A 1080 should only work with an i5 6600K or better, and you need at least 8 GB of RAM to play games effectively today.

I believe the GTX 1080 is limiting performance with the Pentium 4 and 2GB of RAM. Upgrading the graphics card might help.

I suggest considering your options carefully and weighing the pros and cons before deciding.

Go with the 1080 model and skip the 7800gt.

You'd likely need Titan XP with SLI support.
