Hi, so i build myself a brand new PC and got new 1440p monitor (both specs at the bottom), problem is that it wont even post bios when connected to it. It does 5 long beebs instead, which is a cpu error as Gigabyte says. BUT everything works perfectly fine if i connect the display after it boots. Restarts from windows and sleep/wake works too. Hybernation fails same way as cold start. After that 5 beeb error it goes into strange state where it just spins the fans and nothing more. Turns off immediately after pressing power button. If i unplug the display and power it on again it boots normally and everything works again after connecting display back. Everything is fine with 1080p monitor. WHAT I ALREADY TRIED: clearing and updating the bios with 1080p monitor its OK I tried that 1440p monitor on my laptop with no problem I tried that 1440p monitor on completely different PC with Core i5-12400 and different Gigabyte MB and it behaved exactly the same....could be some weird intel/gigabyte thing since Lenovo laptop is fine with it?? put nvidia gt1030 2g gpu in thy system and it boots fine after setting the bios to output to pcie first. If i dont set the innitial video output before inserting gpu it has the same 5beeb error, which is again solved by plugging the monitor to HDMI port on motherboard once and setting it to pcie and then rebooting again in GPU HDMI port. ...So it doesnt seems to mee like either the monitor or two different computers could be faulty. And i dont want to keep that old gt1030 in because everything looks slightly jagged even if i play with cleartype settings. Any ideas please? MONITOR: 34" 3440x1440 AOC CU34V5CW 100Hz PC SPECS : Intel core i7-12700 (running on iGPU) GIGABYTE B760M GAMING X DDR4 32GB DDR4-3200MHz CL16 Kingston FURY Beast FSP 350W power supply 1TB m.2 Samsung 980 PRO

You're dealing with a recognized issue involving older Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Ultra boards paired with NVidia graphics cards and high-resolution monitors via DisplayPort. The problem seems linked to a known bug affecting certain motherboards. If your card is also an NVidia model, try connecting a reliable monitor to the system and use the NVIDIA Graphics Firmware Update Tool for DisplayPort 1.3 and 1.4 Displays. Reports indicate this update resolves the issue in about half of cases. In your situation, the firmware only partially fixed it, but the system still boots after the 5 beeps—better than being completely unresponsive.
