The PC fails to start, yet USB peripherals remain powered on while the main board displays no lights.
Woke up this morning and noticed my PC isn’t booting properly,
every time I power on the PSU through its switch, the keyboard lights and Bluetooth dongle function,
but when checking inside the case, the motherboard indicators are off (normally a breathing orange LED).
CPU: Ryzen 5 4600G
Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M-K
Memory: 16GB HyperX @3200MHz
Graphics: Gigabyte RX 580 4GB
PSU: Inplay GS450Pro 450W
Any suggestions on what might be wrong? I think the power supply might have failed unexpectedly after upgrading to an RX 580 from a 750TI, and since it’s a 450W unit, the RX 580 should work fine with the white light indicator.
I’ll also attempt troubleshooting later, possibly checking the motherboard as a backup since I have an A520M available. Thanks.
I think it might also be PSU. Even though 450W seems sufficient, not every PSU is the same—some might not deliver exactly half of their rated capacity. Have you given it a try without using Rx 580?
