I wasn’t sure what I did, but my computer started up fine. I checked the connections and then shut it down, and it worked again. lol
The only solution is to reset the CMOS. It might be that the CMOS battery is failing or the BIOS chip is affected.
It might be different factors at play. The CMOS battery may lead to additional issues. The only sure way to determine if a replacement is possible is to investigate further.
I didn’t find any spare batteries nearby (though I assumed I might), so I placed an order and they should be delivered tomorrow.
Great job on fixing it! The issue was with the CMOS battery. I replaced it and ran a few reboots, and everything functioned properly.
Searching for assistance, I discovered this forum and have a comparable problem. I recently got a new Corsair CX750M semi-modular power supply and installed it, then reconnected everything. Now when I try to turn on the PC, nothing happens. I've already checked reseating the CPU and RAM, used only one RAM stick, removed the GPU, and even took out the CMOS battery to restart. But after that, the PC just powers on with the fans spinning, no visible response beyond that. Specs: I7 3770 ASUS P8Z77-M pro
