Computer functioned properly from June until the start of this month when it displayed a WATCHDOG_CLOCK_TIMEOUT error. I checked online and dismissed it as a random blue screen. The issue recurred repeatedly. I attempted driver and Windows updates, tried booting directly into WBM, then WBM, and everything worked until recently. Last night it blue-screened again, then after restarting it failed to reach the lock screen. After turning it back on, it would hang while loading Windows, then switched to my Linux partition which also crashed. Currently, it barely attempts to boot; power indicator flashes, no POST or BIOS access. I've followed nearly every no POST guide but found nothing helpful. I also re-seated the CPU and replaced thermal paste before reinstalling the cooler, yet it still doesn't boot. Here are my specs: i7-13700K (base clockspeed), 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM (not XMP enabled), RTX 2060 6GB, ASUS Prime Z790-P WIFI Corsair RM850x Corsair H5 Flow 1, WD_BLACK 1TB NVMe drive, one internal NVMe drive, and a 1TB WD Black.

Hello, If you have an additional hard drive, attempt to remove both NVMe devices and connect only the main drive. If no other drive is accessible, proceed by removing both NVMe units and restarting the system.

I attempted to start without an SSD, only using a 1TB hard drive, but it didn’t work. The drive does contain Windows installation, though I wasn’t using it. Without any drive, the issue persisted.

It mentions the issue is due to old firmware on your SSD. Try updating it.

It doesn't start up even though an SSD isn't connected.

If needed, try charging the BIOS battery. Remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard and reinstall it. Check if this resolves the issue.

All connections are fully seated in both the power supply and the motherboard. The CMOS flashing didn’t resolve the issue either. If I need to return something, I’ll make sure I know exactly what to send for the RMA. I also have another PSU available if needed—it’s only 650 watts, though.

The 650W PSU should suffice since 2060 isn’t overly demanding. From what I see, the main fix might be swapping the SSD for something better. GL
