Hello. I recently returned from being away for three weeks, and my PC won't boot into BIOS anymore. The issue has worsened since I first assembled the system in August 2020. Initially, it would freeze during login or desktop startup, but reinstalling Windows didn’t help. Now it doesn’t even reach BIOS. Restarting once works sometimes, but nothing else does. My monitor isn’t receiving any signal either.
I’ve tried several fixes: swapping the CMOS battery, checking and replacing the PSU, verifying all cables inside and outside the case, reinstalling the CPU, testing with another monitor, resetting RAM slots individually, trying different GPUs, and even booting without peripherals.
Given that I’ve replaced every component except the CPU and motherboard (which I tested), it seems there might be a problem with the motherboard itself. It wasn’t inexpensive, and I’ve only owned it for a year. My current specs are: AMD Ryzen 3600XT, RX 5600XT, 16GB RAM, Crucial P1 1TB SSD, Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite MBO.
I faced the same issue earlier with different configurations. It turned out to be a RAM failure. Look for a power indicator light on your motherboard—this suggests it’s getting power, so you can rule out the PSU. If you’re near a tech shop, ask them to check which part is faulty, as they usually carry diagnostic tools. Alternatively, if you have time, swap the motherboard and RAM for a test.
