Absolutely, that’s what I believed. It feels odd to me, since people seem to pass away right away when they try a different amount of RAM.

The sounds indicate a memory issue. Verify installation and ensure it clicks properly at both ends. Check the beep codes for "award bios" to confirm the problem.

It seems the openings are damaged, which means the motherboard can't recognize the RAM.

Capture images of the slits too. I wonder if two pins might be touching in the ram socket, which could be the cause.
