Hi there. Something EXTREMELY weird is happening to my PC. When i apply any oc, (100mhz example), pc won't boot into WINDOWS. It boots, shows the ROG logo, the loading thing from windows spins, then when it has to show lockscreen it just remains black forever. This started happening 3 days ago, i just installed W10 recently, tried cleaning bios, repairing boot, nothing. i7 7700K Asus Z270e Gaming Strix 24GB RAM @3000mhz GTX 1080 And, another issue, when monitors turn off, sometimes pc never wakes up.
I7 7700k Z270E from ASUS is working fine, but I’m trying to adjust the multiplier now. It’s not happening yet, and I haven’t made any changes!
Reset the motherboard's CMOS and then perform the OC again, gradually increasing the voltage in small steps (0.005 increments).
Used a pre-built 5.0GHz profile from Asus, it started up properly. I rarely tweak the BIOS settings during tuning. XMP at 3000 works well, IGPU for multi-monitor setup (w.f.) with no LED lighting on the GPU as the main output, and the SSD M.2 runs at x4 speed—just that.
Adjust the voltage settings to achieve higher boot speeds. Use a multiplier of 50 and apply a voltage override of 1.4V. This should bring the chip up to 5GHz, possibly lowering it to 49 if stability isn’t reached.
Already tried it, and no, it's not related to voltage. The auto voltage spikes are causing the CPU a lot, which isn't a concern.
doesn't function properly; requires a specific multiplier. Values like 46, 47, 48, 49, 50 work only with the pre-set profile at 5.0GHz. Applying settings now causes boot failure. I'm attempting a detailed BIOS setup to identify the issue.
