The PC fails to start after removing and reinserting the RAM stick.
msi b550 gaming plus 2# ddr4 Trident Z rgb 16gb ram sticks asrock gpu rx5500xt 8gb failed to boot. My PC worked fine until I removed a RAM stick to demonstrate the build process. It shut down and lost power. After cleaning the PCI slot with compressed air, it still wouldn’t start. Swapping the sticks didn’t help. Only one stick fits, but nothing works. The GPU was taken out too, and I reset the CMOS. No improvement. Motherboard lights show DRAM status, which remains constant. Keyboard and mouse aren’t responding, and the monitor isn’t receiving any signal. Please assist.
The stand-offs are key connections linking the motherboard to the case or chassis. They should be brief. The majority of the board shouldn’t connect directly to the case. Avoid creating isolated or floating grounds. Have you reinserted the RAM stick correctly? Only the top part of the DIMM slot has a locking tab; the bottom section doesn’t.
If you're facing this problem, try pressing Control+Alt+Del when the screen goes black. It helped me too. Also, your Samsung sound bar was connected to your GPU via HDMI for audio, which made it act like two monitors and caused post issues. In Battlefield 2042, it kept struggling with both displays. Give that shortcut a try...
