I recently upgraded my PC by adding a new CPU, motherboard, RAM, Windows 11, and M.2 SSDs. When I press the power button, it starts normally with all RGB lights turning on and fans running, but the monitor doesn’t display anything, the keyboard and mouse are off, and there are no lights from those devices either. I forced a shutdown by pressing the power button, then tried repeatedly using the DELETE key and then the keyboard and mouse, which eventually lit up the ASUS logo on the screen. After fixing everything and installing Windows 11, the issue persists in Windows—when I restart or shut down, the mouse, keyboard, and monitor stop, but the PC continues to run. Right after shutdown, the fans suddenly increase speed for about a second before returning to normal operation, and I have to force it to stop. When I try to boot again, nothing happens unless I let the PC rest for 5–10 minutes. Anyone have any suggestions? I’m really struggling and don’t know much about troubleshooting this. I’ve seen similar problems before but no one seems to have a solution.

What are the specifications of your PC? Have you updated the BIOS on your motherboard?

Asus rog corsair x670e hero paired with AMD ryzen 9 7950x. G.skill trident z5 6000mhz featuring 4x16gb memory. Corsair Hx 1200w modular setup included. Samsung m.2 990 pro 1tb with Windows installed. I haven't used it yet, but I'm planning to try it today and will update later.

The update might resolve this by installing the latest drivers, which could address communication issues between the new drivers and older BIOS versions. Try updating the chipset drivers simultaneously.

I'll attempt to refresh the bios and observe the outcome!
There were some problems, possibly related to the chipset. I wasn't able to complete it, but I'm ready to try again.
"Pci encryption/decryption controller" and other similar items.

There is also something that could be connected.
Occasionally I manage to log into Windows and install apps, programs, or Steam. The CPU temperature has risen significantly, reaching about 80 degrees Celsius, with a peak of 89°C after it had been around 50-60°C for some time.
I chose to try playing a game, and I did so successfully. Performance was much better than usual—normally around 100 fps—but after about 15 minutes it dropped sharply. The frame rate fell to zero, causing the screen to freeze, while RGB effects on the mouse and keyboard appeared and then disappeared before everything stabilized again.
There was heavy lagging, dropping to just 20 FPS before it briefly returned to 200-300. This instability seemed to persist occasionally after a BIOS update, though it might improve later.

Thank you very much! You've made great progress updating Bios, chipset drivers, monitor filmware, and everything is now working properly! The only remaining task is to address the performance improvements. Even the CPU temperatures have dropped from 80°C to 40-50°C during idle.

the issue is that upgrades don't produce the desired outcome

It's not very clear how much improving the RAM, CPU, and motherboard actually affects the frame rate in a game I usually get between 90-110 FPS with the RTX 3080. After upgrading those components, the performance jumps significantly to over 300 or even 500 frames per second, even though the GPU remains the same.

after upgrading my pc, i faced numerous issues. many of them were resolved, but there are still some remaining.

1. when restarting via windows, the pc doesn’t power off properly. windows itself shuts down, while the monitor, mouse, and keyboard stop responding, but the pc continues to run fans and the light stays on. only after windows restarts does everything resume normally.
2. i encountered a "screen of death" situation. while sitting quietly with music playing and working, the pc suddenly lagged heavily and the audio stuttered. the screen turned blue with a message saying "windows needs to repair itself." it resolved itself quickly—within about 5 seconds—and windows restarted again. after clearing the antivirus scan, which detected a file named win32, everything worked fine for the past two days, though it hasn’t happened again yet.
