I own a PC with these specifications:
CPU: i7-4790k
GPU: GTX 1660 Super
RAM: 16GB DDR3 RAM
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z87
OS: Windows 11 Pro
I purchased this used machine and it came pre-installed with Windows 11. But when attempting to play League of Legends or other games from Riot, I receive an error requiring TPM 2.0 activation. My CPU only supports TPM 1.2, not the required TPM 2.0. Can I run League of Legends without downgrading to Windows 10? Also, Secure Boot is active. Attached photos are included.
In fact, no. Although LoL was released in 2009, I looked into information and patch 14.9 which added Vanguard, making TPM 2.0 a necessary condition to play it. This means the choices are either a TPM 2.0 module or a modern MoBo that includes TPM 2.0 from the start.
You might try using a version similar to Windows 10, but an outdated CPU would likely have trouble running VMs (OS plus game inside). It's safer to start from scratch—clean the device and install a fresh Windows 10. A jailbroken OS won't work with very old CPUs.
When a game demands TPM 2.0 support, it may fail on W10 as well. This device includes a TPM connector, allowing you to search for the TPM module, such as the ASUS TPM-L R2.0.
Sure, I understand. Windows 10 is the only choice for you, thank you.
