It attempts to launch Windows and then performs these actions. I replaced a RAM stick and reinstalled it. Also, I added a hard drive for testing and later removed it, yet it still boots after doing so. What’s happening?

I'd begin by launching in safe mode to check for a boot issue. If it works, proceed to uninstall the GPU drivers using DDU and reinstall them. If this resolves the problem, your GPU may be faulty. If not, and you have onboard graphics as well, try disabling the GPU and relying on the built-in display if possible.

In my post I mentioned DDU, but you should avoid using Windows 7 if your computer is online.

Received it without any visible features, right? If that’s the case, I’d opt for a fresh setup just to be sure. Even if it doesn’t function, it’ll be in a better state than attempting an upgrade from Windows 7.

I exited safe mode after doing nothing, and it worked fine. Still, I wouldn’t have tried it otherwise. Thanks for the note, though!
