Hello. I attempted to relocate my old HDD into the PC because the SSD storage was full. After connecting it via SATA and power cables, the device remains active for a brief moment before shutting down repeatedly. To stop it, I had to disconnect the cables. When I removed them, the issue persisted—sometimes it powers on but doesn’t send a signal to the monitor, requiring another shutdown of the power supply. It’s a Seasonic S12-ii 620W model, which I’ve owned since last year, so I suspect this isn’t the cause.

Would you like an additional power supply to test? Also, attempt to reset your CMOS and observe the results.

I figured it out with a friend's assistance. I removed the ATX cable from the motherboard, cleared the RAM, and then it functioned properly—only when the SSD was connected. With the HDD, it behaved the same as before. Thanks!

Are you certain the boot system is outdated, or could it be a relic of a previous version still lingering on the storage drive?

Only recently noticed the update—previously it was Windows 10.
