I decided to shut down because my PC kept updating for more than an hour after powering off. After that, I unplugged it (though I should have stayed connected). The following day I noticed frequent game crashes—something unusual on my system, even though games like Fortnite flag an outdated graphics driver (I can’t find a replacement since my model is 560TI). Around the same time, my resolution started dropping and I saw strange white lines moving across the screen when using the mouse. I downloaded a new NVidia driver update, hoping it would help, but the next morning everything returned to normal (photo). Additionally, my PSU appears to be an old, unreliable power supply unit.
The GPU is completely broken. Considering its age, it’s possible you didn’t need it at all.
