Hello everyone, I have an old Acer es1 512 that only gets used occasionally. I went to my parents' place with a working laptop, but after coming back from the pub, I tried to use it and it only briefly displays the Acer splash screen before showing the grey and blue bios, specifically the InsideH20 setup tool. What's going on? Why is this happening? Can't I just save and exit to boot into Windows? This machine has always worked perfectly since I bought it about three years ago—just put it on charge and now it won't work at all. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

It's all about the pub, but the laptop actually knows—just a joke.
The real issue is likely the bios battery running down. This battery handles all bios-related settings and doesn't restart when the computer shuts off.
