You might sell your Vive to upgrade to a newer VR headset, but you could retain the current one for continued use.

Surprising that "VR" is currently a messy and expensive experience. It seems the product needed more smoothness or value before it could be affordable. Personally, I’ll think about it again in about ten years, but right now it feels like just a costly novelty. The Vive stands out more and holds its value better. Why offer something you already own—especially at a loss—on inferior hardware?

They must remove the DRM first.

Sure, I'll wait for the better version without cables. VR won't become widely popular until we eliminate the cables. I understand, it feels more appealing to include details like "100000x100000p," but at this stage the actual issue is the annoying cables.

They already possess wireless accessories available for purchase. They've been using them for several months now. The added delay is only 4ms.

They benefited from the reduced cost and absence of DRM, making it an intriguing option for certain video gamers and porn enthusiasts.

It depends on the selling price you can achieve for it used. If you receive around $200 for moving from Vive to Rift, it makes sense. Otherwise, I'm in agreement.

The market place is quite basic, you need to purchase an additional $100 in stands to function properly and another $50 for improved tracking. They also lack a wireless add-on. Overall, I’d say it’s competitive with its current price.
