In short, I added a new NVME M.2 and RX 6600xt. Windows 10 now shuts down with a black screen after suspending, and the BIOS won<|pad|>'s not recognize the NVME unless I disconnect it completely. After removal, everything works perfectly without suspending. I've verified BIOS and PCIe settings, drivers, and firmware is up to date for the KIOXIA Exceria G2. The SSD appears healthy, I cloned it from my old system. Power supply looks good with ample capacity, and the 32GB RAM is functioning fine. The issue seems to occur only during suspend when accessing RAM. System specs match the BIOS update, and I plan to review Event Viewer later. Initially I thought it was GPU-related, but now it seems unrelated. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Check the Control Panel, navigate to Power Options, and review the "Change when the computer sleeps" section. Look for any settings that seem unnecessary or switched off.
Nothing obvious. Used the OFF setting but it didn’t help. When this occurs, simply restarting or pressing the power button for a short time isn’t enough. I need to shut it down by disconnecting the PSU cable or because the NVME isn’t recognized by the BIOS. What happens is the system powers up but the screen stays black with no GPU signal—monitor lights up briefly, then it either crashes or fails to boot properly. It seems like the PCIE bus might be in a corrupted state.
