The NVME M.2 SSD isn't listed in BIOs.
Hi, I noticed your B550M Pro VC-WI-FI isn’t showing up in BIOS yet after installing a new M.2 NVMe drive. I’m trying to set up Windows but it’s not recognizing the device. I’ve been working on this for about two hours and would really appreciate any advice.
Are you looking at a dead disk or an incorrect connection? There’s a photo of the drive plugged into the motherboard for reference.
Mr mentioned this and suggested trying a different slot if available.
I received a refund because I thought the disk was non-functional. I’m checking if this NVME will fit on this board and whether it works in one slot or both. Links provided for reference.
Ensure the SSD is installed correctly in the main slot above the GPU slot. Keep the cover with the two screws in place. Check the motherboard manual to help identify the slot easily. If the system fails to recognize the SSD, consider updating the BIOS. For Windows installation, use the Windows Media Creation Tool to format and install the OS. Make sure the SSD is the sole drive during setup. After installation, restart the computer and proceed. Good luck!
They will function, but they’ll receive an SSD with NAND technology, and you won’t wish you had otherwise for the performance.
