Hello everyone, I find myself a bit at a loss. i think it was tuesday that Nvidia released a new game ready driver and ever since its almost as tho battlefield 2042 doesnt see my GPU. Battlefield 1 run fine as it as and i havent noticed other games lagging either. But 2042 runs terrible even with all my settings turned low. I installed a older driver which didnt help, on thursday nvidia launched a new game ready driver, this didnt fix it either. I uninstalled and reinstalled battlefield; I'm not thát tech savvy so beyond these things ive already tried i find myself at a loss. I am running a rtx 2060, ryzen 5 3600 And 16GB 3200 ram. Before the driver update 2042 ran fine on medium to high settings But now even on low its unplayable. I took a screenshot of hardware monitor as battlefield was running.

Hello, thanks for your response. I followed your instructions, began using safe mode and executed DDU. I reinstalled the drivers, but 2042 still won’t launch. I removed and then reinstalled it again, but it didn’t work. Interestingly, Battlefield 1 and 5 appear to function normally.

The black screen problem has been ongoing for a while. Stop the game (make sure it isn’t running in Task Manager) and go to "C:\Users\username\Documents" to remove the Battlefield 2042 folder. Restart the game. You’ll need to adjust some settings or keybindings, but it should work as long as it starts.

Thanks a lot! It was really rough on the first run—it crashed—but the second time it worked fine again. Appreciate the help!
