In short, your laptop charges normally, but the monitor shows an error when connected in DP Alt Mode with a Type C cable. After reinstalling Windows, the warning appears again. It seems the issue might be related to the display connection settings or driver problems. You may want to check the cable, try a different port, or update your display drivers.

USB-C is also used to charge certain laptops. It seems your laptop recognizes the monitor as able to supply power, but it isn’t delivering enough. You might look in the monitor’s OSD for options to turn off USB Power Delivery.

I considered it, but the menu options aren’t available there. It does support 10W power delivery for devices, but this issue didn’t exist before and now appears after a Windows reinstall whenever I turn on the laptop or connect the monitor.

10w would clarify the issue. Check Settings > USB for a notification setting about slow charging. It’s possible it was turned off before reinstalling. Ensure you’re using the same Windows 10 version (like 21H2) as before. Share your monitor model if you want to verify there’s no hidden option to disable charging.

Appreciate the update, though the icon remains in the taskbar. It’s still a triangle, but it doesn’t bothers me as much as the notifications did before. At least everything is working now.

This screen seems unusual because it supports Type C input via USB-PD yet only provides 10W power output.

Perhaps I'm confused now. There seems to be a lot of conflicting information online. Some sites mention 60W, others say 10W, and some claim it doesn't offer it at all.

It seems the documentation explicitly mentions "not support PowerDelivery." This likely means it only provides standard 5V 1A USB power, which could be causing the issue.

It's strange overall. I've never experienced any issues for about three months with this screen, but after the Windows reinstall it's acting up again.
