I purchased an R9 3950X for my latest build, pairing it with a 3090 if possible. However, the CPU tends to reach around 29 to 38 degrees Celsius during idle, which is quite normal. Recently it has hovered between 38 and 44, though I’m not sure if that’s unusual. At 40°C idle seems acceptable, but I’m unsure if it’s ideal. I have limited experience with temperatures and performance metrics. The Ryzen Master stress test showed good results at 63°C. If you’re using the Corsair Capalex 3FAN AIO with pre-applied paste and balanced settings, it should perform well.

It's perfect to be 63c stressed. Don't worry!

Generally, there isn't a standard temperature. It varies based on your situation, cooling methods, and surrounding conditions. A safe operating range exists. For Ryzen processors, keeping the temperature below 95°C is ideal. Beyond that, managing heat versus fan noise becomes important.
