The Nighthawk Netgear CM2000 emits bright flashes quickly.
Recently the Mediacom internet in my area stopped working. The CM2000 modem was unplugged and then reconnected. The lights are now flashing quickly and it doesn’t respond to anything, even a factory reset. I’ve checked online and found that other users with this model have had similar issues around the same time as an outage. Could something the ISP did damage the modem, or is there another cause? I’m connected to a surge protector and the coax and Ethernet cables are less than two years old. VID_20230224_181719.mp4
Is this your personal modem or one supplied by your internet service provider? From the brief clip you shared, I notice only a power cable connected to the modem. Does this issue also happen when the coaxial connection is active? Fully disconnect the modem for a few hours, then restart it while connected to the rest of your network. Have you attempted reaching out to your ISP to check if they can assist? They may know the reason behind the disruption and have a resolution for those facing similar problems.
