I assembled a fresh PC using an older graphics card just last week. It operated flawlessly for several days. Now I’m facing interruptions and slowdowns when using basic tasks such as browsing Chrome or dragging apps around the screen. -AMD Ryzen 5 5600X -ASUS TUF X570-Plus -Sapphire RX 580 -Samsung EVO 980 (1TB) -Corsair Vengeance 2x(16GB) DDR4 -Corsair CX750 -Windows 11 Home I installed all the drivers and confirmed they’re correct. The only BIOS adjustment was DOCP to align my RAM speed with the 3600Mhz rating. My benchmark scores look solid (CineBench 10k for multi-core), I’ve added some files, but I’m not an expert on interpreting logs. My hardware monitoring tools show normal readings: GPU-Z, HWMonitor, Ryzen Master, iCUE, Armoury Crat, etc. From what I see, everything seems fine. The only odd message I’ve received is a strange warning about my graphics driver when closing CineBench. However, I’ve been playing CSGO at 300fps, Planet Crafter, and other titles at ultra settings with no lag, tearing, or crashes for five days straight. Why suddenly does my PC act differently? Also, during gameplay I hear a hissing sound and whenever there’s a stutter or lag, it briefly stops—like a brief pause. NOTE: All these images were taken when my system had only a few open tabs and MS Teams running. But my cursor still freezes for 15–30 seconds at a time. GPU-Z Sensor Log.txt
New setup using authentic Windows 11 USB purchased from Newegg. The graphics card was from my previous gaming machine, and this is the sole component I’ve repurposed. This setup is completely brand new.
Fresh install with genuine WIndows 11 USB bought from Newegg. GPU was in my old gaming PC and when I built this PC it is the only piece of hardware I re-used. Otherwise this is a brand spanking new PC. This thread on a different forum explains my situation as well;
