I've just completed assembling my PC and at first everything worked for a moment before the fans and parts stopped completely, except for the RGB lights on the RAM sticks and the motherboard. I inspected the CPU for bent or broken pins, but it was fine except for a tiny bit of thermal paste left along the edges that I removed. However, the issue persists, so I’m unsure what’s causing the problem.
Did you check the PSU cable links and attempted a CMOS reset on your motherboard? Updated December 13, 2022 by Esemes16 Specificity
Rtx 3070 paired with Ryzen 9500x gaming setup on x570-plus wifi via Crossair hx1000i (1000w psu). Lian Li Galahad AIO RAM: Vengeance DDR4 DRAM 2x16gb. I've checked removing RAM modules and testing each slot individually to find dead sticks, but nothing came out. The GPU isn't supported by the Ryzen 9500x.
You've already tried it, but the issue persists. CMOS remains unaffected.
Start the system using just a single RAM module, then test each connection to check for any faulty slot.
Tried it with both sticks alone to see for dead slots or stuck ones. Seems like this isn't the main issue. Some of my contacts shared videos showing similar problems, suggesting the PSU might be the culprit. I'm also curious if power outlets are affecting it. My PSU model is CrossAir HX1000i.
