I recently purchased an LG Ultragear 32GN600 and connected it to my laptop via an HDMI cable I had on hand. My desktop PC doesn’t support the display port, so I’m testing it with a storage-based connection. The screen resolution is 2560x1440, which should fit my laptop’s 1650 Ti performance. However, I notice frequent flickering with green lines across the display and occasional blackouts lasting about a minute or two every few minutes. It seems the HDMI cable might be outdated—possibly around 8 to 10 years old—and could be causing these issues. Would you mind suggesting alternatives or solutions?

If the cable is genuinely over 8-10 years, opt for a newer one with updated HDMI standards. Verify if your connection supports HDMI 2.0. It’s unlikely given its age. A 1.4 standard won’t handle high refresh rates (75Hz+) effectively.

This seems to be a common problem with HDMI signal loss. In fact, different devices could function properly since they emit more robust signals than your computer.

It’s probably a connector problem. If you’re facing this, switch to a different cable or use HDMI to DP.
