Purchased a RAM kit consisting of two 8GB modules in DDR4 3733MHz configuration to replace my existing Crucial Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 8GB (2x4GB) at 2666MHz. My motherboard only accommodates two RAM slots, so the system booted without a display. I attempted to reset CMOS according to Gigabyte’s instructions, removed the battery for 30 minutes, and followed online troubleshooting steps, but nothing resolved the issue. Eventually, I tried mixing both RAM sticks—using one or the other gives a total of 12GB. I suspect the problem might be related to the RAM speed being too high for my CPU (Ryzen 5 2600). I’ve tried manually adjusting the speed, but it still doesn’t work. PC specifications are listed below: Ryzen 5 2600, Gigabyte S2H B450M, Crucial Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 8GB (2x4GB), 2666MHz, GTX 1650 GDDR6. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It's uncertain if a BIOS upgrade will resolve this issue, but others might offer insights. I understand this situation. The system automatically adjusts the speed when mixing RAM, and I updated the BIOS to the latest version. These RAM sticks might not be compatible with my motherboard. Thank you for your quick response.

The official spec states the motherboard supports up to 3600MT/s, but the 3733 kit isn't listed for that specific CPU/board pair. The best entry on the list is 3433, suggesting it might handle one stick at a time. Mismatched RAM also falls back to the slowest speed, which could explain compatibility issues. Support is officially listed as 2933 for the R5 2600, though it should work at higher speeds. I've successfully run 3200MT/s on a R7 1700X with an x370 board (3600MT/s stable). Likely the board is the main constraint, though 3733 might be overstated for Zen+.
