Hi, I’m feeling upset because I just got a new ASUS PRIME Z590-P motherboard but the first one didn’t boot and the second one is also not starting. I’m trying to connect both using a DisplayPort cable, though I’m not sure which version matters. My monitor is an MSI 1080p display and works fine elsewhere. On the old board I could turn it on but nothing appeared. The new board powers on quickly yet stops after ten seconds without showing anything. I’ve checked RAM placement, reseated the CPU, inspected cables, and even reset the CMOS pins with the battery. I’m really stuck and would appreciate any tips to help me out.

There seems to be an issue with your hardware, possibly an electrical fault. I've had similar problems before—my hard drive was damaged by water. Consider using backup storage, CPU, GPU, RAM, or power supply if available. It doesn't look like the power supply is the problem since the system powers on briefly.

Do you have any post-codes? Is there a tiny speaker built in that lets you connect to the board and hear the beep codes? (You need just one stick of RAM and a CPU.)

Verify the connection of the 8-pin cpu_power pin to the board. Attempt to reset the board using the CMOS reset pins. Touch them briefly with a metal object for 5 seconds while the PC is off. If the issue persists, hardware testing on another system may be necessary to identify faulty components.

It would have been my next assumption too. Perhaps you could share an image to illustrate the connection between your board and the PSU.
