Hello. I understand your situation. Your new PC keeps restarting repeatedly. When you remove the RAM modules it powers on but remains inactive since it lacks memory. Once you install RAM, the system stops restarting. The motherboard error codes are blanking out as FF. Here are your specifications: Corsair 680X case, Intel i9 10900K, MSI MEG Godlike Z490, GTX 680 Super (awaiting 3080 release), EVGA G2 1000W PSU, Corsair Dominator Platinum, DDR4 3200 MHz, 4x16GB CMT32GX4M2C3200C16, numerous 140mm fans, 2x Samsung 970 EVO 2TB NVMe, Corsair H115I Platinum CPU cooler. You suspect an issue with the RAM. I attempted to use three sticks in the 2A slot and confirmed they were properly seated, yet the PC still restarts after each boot. No BIOS or Windows installation detected. It’s been a long time since I built a PC. Please advise.

Move the processor back into place and insert the RAM again.

I replaced the CPU and RAM multiple times, at least several times each. Now I’m unsure if the problem lies with the power supply unit.

Disconnect all non-essential devices. Start with booting the motherboard using the CPU and one RAM stick in its proper position. Exclude SSDs, HDDs, fans, and the case—just mount everything on the motherboard. See if it works. If not, test each RAM stick individually. If issues persist, identify the likely cause among the connected components. With spare parts, consider swapping RAM, CPU, or PSU to isolate the problem. Keep trying until you find a functioning setup.
