I’ll stick to that advice tomorrow since it’s late, but could it just be because the 4-pin CPU connector isn’t connected? Should I purchase one given the modular PSU? I don’t believe there’s any broken or damaged hardware involved—it’s brand new—but it would be a hassle if something is wrong.

The additional 4-pin CPU connector isn't necessary for booting under any situation. It exists only for... well, as a placeholder if you want extra power for overclock attempts, though its main purpose is to give the board a more appealing appearance and to mislead or confuse others.

During setup, a clicking noise appeared just before the RAM activated. Was there a connection issue on the case? If it was resolved, would the system continue functioning properly?

Disassembled everything, mounted it on the motherboard, but nothing works despite using just a few sticks and no RAM. It seems the BIOS might not be compatible with my CPU. Should I consider updating the BIOS? Or maybe I should swap the motherboard instead?

Have you refreshed the bios? I would have done it initially during a clean installation with a new CPU.
