I recently installed a new computer and am only a week along. A problem has appeared: whenever I leave for an extended period, my PC goes into sleep mode and when I return, it restarts the boot process but displays a black screen with just a loading cursor. This issue isn’t limited to the display—my current setup is working fine now. I attempted a full system repair and fixed the startup settings, yet the same problem recurs every time I power it back on overnight. I’ve tried reinstalling all my Nvidia drivers via the official app and website, performed a Windows reset, updated BIOS and OS, and even used the ASUS ROG Strix B650E with the latest components.

Look inside the event viewer for details about the boot drive location.

Seems like a Windows problem with waking up from sleep. Not common since I don’t use it much, and it restarts quickly in the evenings—about 30 seconds. It might be a simple reinstall needed.

Many mistakes and alerts appear here. My boot drive is in slot two. Should I move it to slot one? Could changing it affect anything? Will it cause problems? Won’t I need to reinstall Windows, or should it work fine?

I made a mistake with this motherboard—it has three M.2 slots. My main one was connected to the third, and now it works after moving it into the first slot. That’s all that matters. Sorry if it took anyone’s time. Thanks! Have a great day/night.
