The new PC functioned properly last night but is currently unable to boot.
I've finished setting up my new PC over the past three weeks. Everything came together smoothly. Loading Windows 10 Pro, applying updates, and installing drivers went without trouble. The system performed well during data transfer and app reloads. After moving it from the test bench to my desk, it started to behave strangely. Here are the specifications: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, Gigabyte B650M Aorus Elite AX Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU, Corsair DDR5 5200 32GB x2 memory, MSI Mech Radeon RX 6650 XT, Crucial P3 Plus 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD, NVMe M.2 750w ARESGAME. After relocating, I powered it on and the logo screen appeared. The PC rebooted normally. In BIOS everything looked fine. I restarted and noticed the red LED on the motherboard. It flashed CPU info, then DRAM details, then stopped as it tried to boot. After a reboot, I turned it off. When I powered it back on, the CPU LED stayed lit. I searched online but found no solutions. I contacted AMD tech support, but they’re slow to respond. I’ve tried removing the CPU fan, checking for visual faults, re-seating RAM, taking out the GPU and battery, and reassembling everything. The problem worsened each time. Now the CPU LED remains on, and the system won’t even POST. One case fan isn’t working, and the chipset LED under the heatsink isn’t lighting up. The GPU also doesn’t function properly. I suspect a motherboard issue, but I’m hoping someone else has encountered similar problems. I’ve already messaged Gigabyte support, but it might take days for a reply.
I also unplugged and plugged them back in after removing the fan and GPU.
I think the issue might be related to these three points: the PSU could be faulty, possibly a defective motherboard, or the RAM is being disabled via XMP settings but the system isn't starting at all. Make sure the CPU cooler is properly installed and check all connections such as 24-pin, 6-pin motherboard, and GPU 8-pin to ensure they're secure.
Have you checked if the BIOS was updated? The previous AM5 motherboard updates are outdated.
