I attempted to fix my PC for three days but it still doesn’t work. Pressing the power button gives no response. I’m confident the PSU is fine, so the issue might be elsewhere. A few cables from my case aren’t connected to the motherboard, which could be the problem. Motherboard model: MSI a320 pro-vh, CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, GPU: GIGABYTE AERO OC GEFORCE RTX 4070, Case: Corsair 500D Airflow, PSU: unknown but likely 700W. It might be the power switch wasn’t connected. Any suggestions? Updated April 29, 2023 by LittlePix09

I believe a simple power reset might help, but I just realized the power switch isn't located where I thought. I'll check its position right away.

Many new users struggle with linking the front panel connectors accurately, or activating the power source. In modular setups, cables might not be properly attached at the power input, and useful connections aren't visible—only the CPU ATX and PCIe ports are shown.

It seems the power switch isn't connected to the motherboard, and you're unsure about its location.

On the lower right side of your mainboard, you'll typically find a group of pins that seem confusing at first. However, part of them resembles USB2, though it isn't actually connected. The two upper left pins are generally power switch connections, positioned near their designated locations. It's best to consult your mainboard manual for details. You'll also see power and HDD LEDs there. Make sure the + and - connections only use + with +. The plugs will clearly indicate these connections as well.
