Hi
First time father& son PC builders here looking for help with troubleshooting. The setup includes:
MSI Pano M100R PZ Case
Mag A650BN Power supply
MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI motherboard
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Processor
AMD Radeon RX6600 Graphics Card
Crucial PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 1TB SSD
Beast DDR4 RAM 2x16 MB
BIOS confirmed as current version

We managed to get the PC running and installed Windows 11.
A game was downloaded and played, but it crashed after about 15 minutes. The Epic installer began reinstalling from scratch, which was unusual.

After rebooting, the PC crashed with a BSOD and displayed an error message “Inaccessible Boot Device”.
Windows repair followed, but the problem persisted.
During a soft reboot, the system hangs with the EZ Debug CPU LED lit up.
A hard reboot brought us back to the BSOD screen.

In the command prompt, we ran DISKPART>LIST DISK and PART>LIST VOL and CHKDSK on the boot drive with no errors.
From the error message, it seems there’s an issue booting off the SSD.
Any suggestions on what to try next?

Try booting from SSD to see if the other issue appears. Update the BIOS of the motherboard.

I've been working in tech for 17 years, it's a big deal, but I've been playing with computers since I was a kid in the late '90s. My idea is that if your parts work well for about a month or so, they should last longer. But if something's wrong from the start, it might not hold up.

Reinstated BIOS with no noticeable improvement.
Ubuntu installation is functioning properly.
Should we assume the problem stems from a faulty or unstable SSD?

Enable Fast Boot settings in BIOS.
Hide fast startup options in Windows.
Shut down hibernation feature.
Run powercfg -h off

Thank you for the feedback on the date suggestions. We understood that the SSD was placed in M2_2 since M2_1 was hidden under a metal cover and we didn’t know it was an SSD slot. We relocated the SSD and reinstalled Windows 11. Fast Boot was turned off in the BIOS, and hibernation was disabled. The Fast startup feature in Windows was hidden, but we verified it’s inactive using the powercfg /availablesleepstates command. Our issue persists—the PC boots normally from the Windows USB installation but not from the SSD. We encounter a BSOD with the message “Inaccessible Boot Device.” We’ve examined the boot sequence in the BIOS and attempted to use M2_1 as the first and second boot device after the USB.

Did you have several drives connected during installation? If yes, and if a bootloader already exists on another drive (where Windows isn't being installed), then the bootloader won't be created on the new OS drive. The OS drive won't become bootable. Please share a screenshot from Disk Management. (upload to imgur.com and post link)

Only one drive was connected (the Crucial 1TB SSD) and we didn't create multiple partitions on it. We seem to have resolved the problem. Following suggestions from another forum, we first installed Windows 10 and then upgraded to Windows 11 online instead of using a USB installation. The PC is now booting properly from the SSD for the first time. I'm not sure why this works—my son discovered this fix, but it seems to help with installing Windows 11. Thanks for the assistance - we appreciate it.
