The new CPU for your PC isn't working properly.
Before beginning, here are some points to keep in mind: My motherboard is a B550m Elite AM4 with BIOS version FCc. I previously used a Ryzen 3 1200 CPU and recently swapped in a Ryzen 9 5900X. I also purchased another 5900X about two weeks ago, but the same problems persisted, so I requested a refund and received a replacement. Recently, I installed a new one, yet the issue remains. Many users on forums report similar difficulties with this processor. I've attempted to replace all components except the motherboard due to cost constraints, but that didn't resolve the problem. I also reinstalled the latest BIOS update for my board. Other steps I've tried include: disconnecting external devices and attempting a boot without input, clearing BIOS settings by removing the power supply battery briefly, and updating the BIOS to the newest version. I've also verified that my PSU isn't the cause—my aunt provided a 750W unit, which works fine with no screen output or RGB activation. The system functions perfectly with my old CPU. As a college student currently unemployed, I can't afford a new motherboard. Please let me know if you need more details. Regards, Racc
I power up the PC with all fans running, but it fails to start and I can't shut it down using the power button.
That is a good idea. Or friends. Or family. Someone has to have an AM4 board you could try to check if the CPU would post...
