To dismiss the loose fin theory, test just the central fan. If the sound persists, the cooler isn’t the issue and swapping it won’t help. Edited May 17, 2025 by leclod

What's going on? The vibration remains even when only the middle fan runs, but it's noticeably quieter. I’d rather return it since it didn’t match expectations and wasn’t worth the cost.

I swapped it in with a top-tier thermalright assassin. The noise is still there, but it's about ten times quieter. Probably due to turbulence or resonance—since the thermalright fans spin 500rpm slower, they generate less sound. Either way, I'm glad I could work without distraction while using Pure Rock Pro 3. That audio was completely unmanageable for me.
