I replaced my CPU and cooler a few days ago. After a day, I heard a faint vibrating sound—like a phone buzzing slightly. I've tried ignoring it, but it's hard. I changed fan positions, unplugged the front fan, and adjusted RPM, but nothing helped. The Be quiet! Pure Rock pro 3 is still there. Any suggestions?

Do you have an extra fan available to swap in for the front one? Or should I simply swap out the front fan for the middle fan? Please confirm whether to return the cooler/fan or just replace the fan. Edited May 17, 2025 by leclod

It remains even after swapping the fan. I believe returning it would be the best option. I’m disappointed since I really enjoyed its look. I just wish the peerless assassin doesn’t face a similar problem.

It seems the cooling pad might be faulty, with a loose fin possibly causing the issue.

I completed the task as requested. If changing one fan didn’t resolve the issue, I checked the other one too.

I swapped it in, left the replacement fan running and turned off the original one to confirm. I also experimented with using just one fan at a time. It becomes noticeably quieter, though only slightly.

They swapped the front fan for a backup model. What about the middle fan? Are you confident the replacement is working properly?

It's possible the issue isn't clear. I tried using my finger on the fins, but everything looked normal.

The front one is good. I kept the middle one in and unplugged it. Everything works with the spare.

It seems unusual. I suspect another factor is at play, though I might be mistaken.
