The new computer triggers an "OUT OF RANGE" warning when it starts up for the first time.
Hey there! I'm setting up my new PC and have just entered the initial power-up phase. Pressing the power button activates the power supply, CPU cooler, and GPU fans—after a short delay, the motherboard LEDs start blinking in sequence, and finally the boot LED remains lit. The video suggested accessing BIOS at this stage, but my monitor only shows an "OUT OF RANGE" error. I tried using a Windows 10 USB drive to test, yet the issue persists; the boot LED stays off. Based on what I understand, this suggests the display can't show the correct resolution or frame rate, which is why it won’t respond. My old monitor seems to be the culprit—maybe it’s outdated or incompatible. If I need a replacement screen, I want to ensure it matches my specs. Thanks for your support!
You should restart the computer in Safe Mode. Press the "F8" key during startup. If everything appears correctly, adjust the display settings to a new resolution using the Display Settings app. If you encounter issues due to a driver problem, restart while holding "F8." Instead of Safe Mode, select the "Last Known Good Configuration." Once Windows loads, reinstall the graphics drivers for your AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT. Here’s a link to download the latest drivers: https://www.amd.com/de/support/previous-...rx-6800-xt. Please choose your operating system and install the newest version. This should help resolve your issue.
Hey there! Glad you reached out. I actually found a workaround by connecting the computer to a TV instead of your monitor before you replied, which helped everything display correctly. After setting up Windows and updating, I reinstalled the software and connected it back to my monitor—now it’s all working smoothly.
