I’ve gathered as much detail as possible. You recently installed a Ryzen 5 8400F with an Asus TUF B650m-Plus Wi-Fi motherboard and a 16GB DDR5 stick. After reassembling, your new system isn’t detecting the M.2 drive as a bootable unit, even though it appears in the list. When you revert to the old setup, Windows 10 boots fine. You have 10 years of data backed up and want to avoid losing everything. Someone can help you get your silicon M.2 drive recognized by Windows 10 without hassle.

Could be connected to how the Windows setup was created using old settings and an MBR, built to work with BIOS. Your upcoming motherboard will use UEFI by default, so only GPT partitions will be able to boot. There are two options: A. Transform your current Windows 10 setup from MBR to GPT using the video guide provided. Or B. Adjust the motherboard configuration to enable legacy booting, which would allow you to keep the existing MBR partition if possible.

You’ve fixed the boot process, but your system still ignores the M.2 drives after connecting them. Check if drivers are updated or try a different USB port. Also, ensure the drives are properly seated and not damaged.
