Hey everyone, I heard your friend upgraded to a 4070 and is having issues with the video source. The system crashes into a black screen and sometimes restarts on its own. I found the parts list online, and I’m looking for suggestions or fixes that might help. Any ideas would be super helpful!

He upgraded from an older processor to a more modern one, combining a 4070 with a Ryzen 5 1600 for better performance.

He switched from an RX 580 but replaced his drivers, installing fresh ones for the card. He didn’t ask me first before purchasing, which means he has a 1600.

That’s exactly what I thought he was going to do—just reinstalling Windows. That’s probably it, right? At least he seems to have a solid “future-proofed” plan in place.
