The my lan is not functioning.
It's a fresh thread. I purchased a 5090 about a month ago and chose to return it. After reinstalling my 3080 card, I encountered an issue I've never experienced before. It's a completely new problem. My system is a standard PC I built several years ago, which was functioning perfectly. My motherboard is Z690 GAMING X DDR4 (rev. 1.0).
What are your PC specifications? Have you attempted to detach the GPU to check if the problem lies there? Was the setup process straightforward? Did you experience trouble installing it or hear any unusual sounds like cracking or noises? Also, please note that repeating this message multiple times violates the forum guidelines.
I'm sorry about deleting your posts by accident. I removed everything I said and explained what happened, thank you for letting me know. I didn't uninstall the GPU after installation, but it's on a different section of the device—unclear how that might affect the issue. The setup process was smooth with no cracking or unusual sounds.
I frequently encounter situations where a GPU is installed directly into the PCIE slot, leading to failures elsewhere on the system. Here’s what I’m considering. If your CPU already has integrated graphics, try disconnecting the GPU and checking if Ethernet functions without it. Also, run DDU on the graphics drivers and reinstall them from the official Nvidia source. Upgrading recently can sometimes cause driver conflicts—switching back to the previous driver version might help.
I used DDU to fully reset the driver, and I replaced the existing one with a new one for the 3080. You might think something failed on the MB, and the LAN port was damaged? Yes, I moved the GPU slightly to ensure it was properly seated.
I also own a 3080 GPU for four years now, using the same setup and everything functioned well. Recently, I upgraded to a 5090 card about a month ago, but it didn’t meet the performance expectations I had. I removed the 5090 and reinstalled the 3080, and this issue occurred again with the LAN port.
