I secured it at a reasonable price... I just required a board compatible with two NVMe drives and Sli. I’m not planning heavy 4.2GHz overclocking. Let’s focus on the main issue—fixing my PC. If anyone has suggestions or solutions, feel free to pass them along.
I base my confidence on testing the CPU under normal conditions first. Then I check the board’s specs for stable frequencies, using tools like the Ryzen DRAM calculator for Zen1. I assume everything is functioning correctly unless you have specific concerns.
so here is the issue .. i for sure have one bad stick of ram ... so i will send that back .... when i go install two sticks it will not post ... three of my four posted in single channel one stick.... so process of elimination is : a bad cpu mount : which is what solved it before : a known "RYZEN" specific issue a bad ram slot on my motherboard either dimm 1 or dimm 3 : dual channel will not post Cpu related issue Going to start by getting two fresh sticks of ram, by RMAing the one that is bad, but they require me to send two sticks.. as of right now, I have one 8gb stick in single channel running at 3000mhz and my CPU at 3.9ghz I did the CPU with no ram overclock and then tested each stick one by one in dimm slot4 which is where it needs to be for single channel ... I checked the manual for which sticks go where for single and dual channel .... with no overclock , all four sticks will not run ... could not get 2 or 3 working either ...
You seem to be stuck on your thoughts and unsure how to clarify things. It looks like you're hoping my perspective might help, though I suspect your idea isn't fully formed. Did you complete those hardline tests? You're still eagerly awaiting more news about them.
So my board is just being weird !!! its works then it doesn't??? i currently have 2 sticks 16gb in at 3000mhz and cpu at 3.9ghz... i am waiting on fittings to come in and i have the tubing already... need fittings and 90, 45, and 180 degree bender tools i ordered ... i ordered everything from China to save money .... so it takes alot longer ... I waited about 3 months for four 90 fittings off ali express... Good thing about fittings is there is not alot there .. its basically orings that cause it to work or fail and as long as the orings are good it should be fine ... I look at how does it work and why and then determine what to buy .... my modded fittings that i made, soft tube to hard tube fittings, 10 are still in my system and leak free... the ones that leaked were missing an o-ring, because home depot ran out of them at the time .... On the positive side, I’m experiencing pleasant temperatures while my PC runs with an A/C. This is during idle mode but still for a continuous loop. Two GPUs are overclocked to 220 core clock with 520 MHz memory—both GTX 1070s and a CPU at 3.9 GHz. One GPU runs about 2 to 3 degrees hotter than the other, which isn’t too bad. The fans are 360mm in diameter, and I upgraded the CPU block with RGB lighting. I also repaired two damaged fans that had broken wires; they’re still working fine after being fixed over the weekend with a staple and glue.
