Hi All,
I'm just getting started with overclocking and already seeing some good results. I'm still trying to understand something. After making certain adjustments in the BIOS, the motherboard seems to override them. Check out the screenshots below:

I manually set the tCL timing to 15 (second column), but the system changes it to 16 (first column). When I restart and check with CPU-Z, it shows CL16 instead of the CL15 I selected.
The same happens for CPU voltage:

I entered 1.325V (second column), but the system reads 1.360V (first column) and during boot runs at 1.36V.
In both instances, the first column is grayed out and I can't modify it.
Anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this and ensure the system follows the instructions? Thanks a lot!

Hi All,
I’m new to overclocking but already seeing solid improvements. I’m puzzled because when I tweak certain BIOS settings, the motherboard changes those values automatically. For example, in one of the screenshots you shared, I set a tCL timing of 15, but the board corrected it to 16, which appears in the first column. After rebooting, the system runs at 16, matching the grey text. The same occurs with CPU voltage—I chose 1.325V and it adjusted to 1.36V, which CPU-Z confirms.
Could anyone explain why this happens and suggest a way to prevent it?
Thanks!
