I planned a BIOS update for my MSI GE77HX 12UGS. I followed all the instructions correctly until the final loading stage, when it stopped abruptly. After a short wait, the power button displayed an orange glow continuously without showing any image. After about ten minutes, I powered it off to see if it would restart. Once back on, the power button light stayed white for a second before changing to orange, but no visual output appeared. I attempted a hard reset by holding the power button for 15, 30, and 45 seconds, then opened the laptop and disconnected the battery—still the same issue. When it turned on again and the orange light came back, the fans spiked to maximum speed for a few seconds before stopping. Then the orange light flashed white once and then returned to orange. I found the update page you shared helpful, but I’m unsure if it resolves this specific problem.

When the BIOS is damaged, the best approach is usually to update it with a proper version using a dedicated programmer device. This task isn't meant for casual users, though reputable repair services can handle it.
