Yeah, no worries, I haven't updated my tagline yet.
AMD FX 6300 4.5GHz @ 1.3V
MSI 970a SLI KRAIT Edition
8GB Hyperx Beast (stock 1600MHz)
MSI GTX 680 Lightning
Sandisk SSD Plus 240GB
WD Blue 1TB
EVGA Supernova 650w G2
I thought the power supply might be a bit lacking, but I just swapped my GPU from an ASUS HD7970 Directcu ii—it uses way more power now after overclocking.
If it isn't the power supply, what might be behind the issue?
Just tried presicion X and it's the same thing, no matter how much I increase the voltage, if I go more than 25MHz over base clock, the test either crashes or my fps drops into single digits. I have monitored temps, gpu usage, and clock, none of them drop when the fps does, core clock and usage stays stable, even though the fps drops. I have also been monitoring Memory and VRM temp, and they are both well within their limits, I have no idea why this card refuses to overclock. Do you think it's possible that MSI just made a mistake when picking this chip for their lightning edition of cards?
I actually purchased it around five days ago for £100, but I sold my HD 7970 for it. I wish I had waited for a 960 or even a 970 during the January sales :/
