I assembled a new PC and saw my CPU temperatures were significantly higher than a friend who had a 5800x. When checking benchmarks, speeds, and voltages, his setup always performed better. In Ryzen Master, core temps and HWInfo showed he was applying excessive voltage to components that didn’t seem to need it. Rocket League was drawing around 1.47-1.48 volts, which seemed unreal. I looked up AMD Overclocking in the BIOS and adjusted the max voltage to 1.4, 1.375, 1.325, etc., to test. It limited the voltage, which is fine since I’m not aiming for serious overclocking, but it was odd that it kept demanding so much power. A standard Cinebench run would reach about 88 C. I replaced the cooler beforehand to confirm the issue. Any advice?

Sure thing! So you're experiencing some voltage fluctuations on your Ryzen system, especially around 1.5v and 1.525v. It sounds like the cooling setup might not be quite right. You're still using a Spire cooler, which is good, but it's worth checking the connection or the fan settings to ensure everything is stable.

It's common for certain motherboards to output higher than usual voltage for the chip. This topic was covered in a video by Jay and Steve, though I’m not sure if they were the ones discussing it. You might try slightly reducing the voltage through undervolting to check if temperatures drop. Since I don’t have much experience with Ryzen, I can’t give detailed advice, but it could be worth exploring.
