Hey there! The B550-A PRO and R5 3600 aren't powering up at all. No fan noise, no debug lights, not a single thing. The only clue is the BIOS Flash button that illuminates when you press it. I've done the following:
- Replaced RAM in both proper and wrong spots
- Inspected CPU pins and socket
- Reinstalled 24Pin and 8Pin connectors
- Cleared all storage drives
- Attempted booting with and without the GPU
- Removed motherboard from its case and reassembled on a table
- Reset CMOS by taking out the battery
- Used reset CMOS pins to reset CMOS
- Spent some time praying to Saint Jude, the patron of difficult situations
I'm currently swapping components between other PCs to pinpoint the issue. I'm offering a 5 euro reward to anyone who can fix this without me having to return the board or CPU. Good luck!
Great suggestions overall. I had been shorting the power pins without realizing the supply was stable. The jumpers I misread were actually the same as the front I/O. Honestly, if I hadn’t discovered the solution before you shared it, I’d have claimed the reward—but I’m glad I found it first!
