Hello, do you think the MSI B150 gaming M3 remains a solid choice? I saw one for sale on a used marketplace at a very reasonable price.

Only 6th and 7th generation Intel CPUs work with that motherboard, but they're a lot more expensive than usual. I wouldn't recommend it.

You're considering an upgrade to a better motherboard and a more powerful CPU/RAM combo. It's a smart move if you're looking to boost performance. Just make sure your current setup supports the new components and that you're comfortable with the changes.

It varies with the cost. However, the i7 920 runs at 2.8GHz across all cores, and it has a fixed CPU design.

It's roughly $62 USD, do you think? Would you like some recommendations for a motherboard?

For around $65, you can find an ASUS Prime B365M-A motherboard. If you're looking for something between $60 and $80, an Intel i3 9100F quad-core CPU fits well. The board you choose gives a solid path toward an 8-core processor.
