Many people are aware that some MSI AIO coolers can have issues. If your AIO isn’t working well—like overheating while idling above 60°C—it might be fixable. Here’s what you should consider:
Quick setup details: Windows 10 64-bit, 64GB RAM, RTX 3070 GPU, Intel i9 10850K. I’ve been playing Lost Ark and noticed the cooling system seems to be working harder than before. The game only uses about 30-40% CPU but reaches temperatures over 70°C. There’s also a strange noise when I power on the PC, possibly a buzzing sound in the loop.
Since I read about production faults, it could be related to the AIO itself. If everything else seems normal, I’m worried it might be faulty. I’d like to confirm whether others with similar CPUs and AIOs have experienced the same problems. How long does a replacement take? Would it be easier to get an instant fix at a store instead of waiting?
Anyone with experience using an MSI AIO cooler during normal operation can share their temperature readings. Also, did you encounter any issues with your cooler in Belgium?
Assuming it's a 360 with that tier CPU, run Cinebench multicore under heavy load. Monitor temperatures closely and consider removing it if issues persist. The fans seem to be getting clogged with debris.
I’ll check the 360 model closely. Yes, even with a new air cooler, an i9 will slow down if you run it at full capacity for extended periods, right? What temperature range should I aim for? @darknessblade I think DC is the way to go, since the motherboard has a dedicated connector for the pump and that’s where it connects. It even needed an adapter cable sometimes. Regarding the RMA process, how long does it usually take to complete?
I tested the Cinebench multi and it quickly reached 90-100°C. Within about two minutes there was a minor thermal throttle to around 4.70-4.75, then it gradually decreased to near 4.6. The CPU is set to cap at 4.8 by default, and there’s no overclocking option. After the test, it returned to 45-50°C and later dropped back to about 35°C after roughly 5-10 minutes. I’m not sure if these temperatures are typical. Anyone else using an i9 10850 (or 10900) with a room temperature of 22°C?
